The Yarmouth Select Board is slated to vote today on the proposal for a new regional 911 call center.
The partnership with Barnstable and Sandwich would serve a good chunk of the Cape and save millions for each of the three towns.
If Yarmouth leaders greenlight the idea, planning the consolidation can begin right away as Barnstable and Sandwich are already on board.
The new emergency call center wouldn't be up and running for about three years, though.
